Skiing and Snowboarding: Hit the Slopes at Mount Bachelor

Located just a short drive from Bend, Oregon, The Mount Bachelor skiing area can be accessed from Eugene, Oregon via the OR 58 E.
Featuring one of Oregon ‘s largest ski areas at over one thousand total acres, Mt. Bachelor offers one of the longest skiing seasons out of any other resort available in the Nation. Open between November through May, visitors can generally ski without restriction, depending upon the weather conditions. Mount Bachelor averages over 450 inches of snow per year. During the summer, the Mount Bachelor ski area transforms into a mountain biking getaway, so the area is enjoyable regardless of the time of year you choose to visit.
Just outside of Sisters, Hoodoo offers fun big hill skiing that includes night skiing as well. Several resorts nearby are RV friendly, so you can make it a day trip, or a weekend trip with a rental from Turn Key RV.
For cross country skiers,Wanoga Sno-Park Cross-country Loop is an easy loop, a great start for those beginners who ‘d like to give cross country skiing a try. Trails are 2 miles through pine forests, and are level.

Free guided hikes are available every weekend, and every day during holiday breaks during the winter, courtesy of the U.S. Forest Service Ranger at Mt. Bachelor.

Black Butte Snowshoe – Rigorous. 4.7 mile loop
Vista Loop – Easy to Moderate.
Tubing
Mt. Bachelor offers the Snowblast Tubing Park, and near Sisters at Hoodoo, the Autobahn Tubing Park is a fun and suitable park for all ages. Wanoga Sno-Park is a popular sledding location for locals, and can be found as you make your way to Mt. Bachelor.

Ice Skating
A full-sized rink can be found in the heart of the Old Mill District in Bend. Other rinks are located at Seventh Mountain Resort, Centennial Plaza in Redmond, Oregon, and The Village at Sunriver.
